Using an Anemometer

An anemometer measures the speed of wind. You can buy them pretty cheaply, and there are also some pretty expensive ones.

I don't think you need to spend a lot, I don't need all kinds of weather station type info - just the wind speed is all I'm really after.

Anyway I bought a Handheld Anemometer Wind Speed Meter With Lanyard & Carry Case which does everything I want and is easy to carry.

I like to use the anemometer to see the different wind speeds my rc planes and helicopters will fly in.
