After receiving a nice comment about my Ulleskelf video on Youtube I decided that I will occasionally film a village here and there. I think these types of videos make wonderful archives to show how people live now, and will be useful to look at in the future. I was driving back from Beverley after filming the Minster there when I saw a sign for Seaton Ross. I decided I will go and look at it because I thought the name sounds interesting, so here is a video of Seaton Ross form no other reason than it caught my eye on a road sign. I found a spot just outside the village by a small road, put on my FPV goggles and took to the air to see what I could see. The area is quite flat so I got quite a good video signal, which meant I could fly around quite a lot without the reception breaking up. On the other side of the village you can see some hills, these are the Yorkshire Wolds. In the village you can see a black windmill, and also a white one that seems to be converted into a house. The weather was beautiful so the video came out very well. I had fun following the silver car, but I think my favourite shot from this aerial video is of the combine harvester in the field - an excellent archive image of an early 21st Century farm at work. |
