On Monday I went to Modelshop Leeds to buy some new batteries and decided, seeing as it was a very nice day and I had my Mikrokopter Hexa 2 with me, to go and checkout Roundhay Park in Leeds as I haven't been there since I was a child. I remembered the park being quite large and that there was a lake in it, but other than that I hadn't a clue what it looked like - so, with my FPV (first person view) goggles on I decided to have a look around from the air and made this short aerial video of the results. The previous day I'd set up my camera mount so that I could point it straight down, or at various angles in between, which I used a couple of times in this video to good effect I think. I particularly like the woman with a personal trainer doing press-ups and the couple walking across the park together. I guess my farourite shot of the aerial video though is the guy flying the kite and looking down on the kite in the beautiful sunshine. However, another element that is striking is the browns, reds and oranges of some of the trees as they are gradually transforming into Autumn colours. I also tried to experiment a little with different heights, flying low over the skating park and high up in the air to try and get the whole of Roundhay Park in the video. |
