The Sidings is a hotel and restaurant just outside York near Shipton and Beningbrough. It's kind of quirky because it is right beside the railway lines, the main line to Scotland, and is partly made from old railway carriages. You can sit and eat meals while watching trains whiz by, which for some, including me, is pretty cool. The weather wasn't so good, very cloudy and dull, so the picture quality has suffered quite a bit, but it's still an interesting aerial video. I did get pretty high at one point, so high in fact that the video reception on my FPV goggles was starting to break up and I had to come down again - another good reason to stop using puny 5.6ghz for my FPV signals. The best part for me was getting the train in the aerial video while I was flying, and being able to move the camera to follow the train due to using FPV goggles. |
