Gaui 330X S Quadcopter York City Walls

I bought a little Gaui 330X the other day, see Gaui 330x Build, as an addition to my collection of quadcopters.

I call it little because it is a lot smaller than any of the other quadcopters I own, in fact it's a lot smaller than you expect it to be when you first clap eyes on it.

Anyway, just because it's small doesn't mean it's rubbish - I quite like this little fella so far.

Below is my first attempt at shooting video from this little Gaui 330x quadcopter, the parts where it wobbles are my fault through becoming over anxious when it's quite high up and over controlling the stick on my radio. My camera is simply stuck on top of the top cover, which I glued a thin piece of plywood to for rigidity, with elastic bands. I also put and a bit of foam rubber, cut offs from the protective frame I bought as an added extra, under the camera. I think I will get a proper camera mount that goes underneath though.

I should also mention that I had a friend, Dave, with me this time and that this makes things a lot easier. It means you can concentrate on flying while your 'wingman', or woman, keeps a lookout so you don't walk into anything while your eyes are up in the sky. He was also useful for fielding questions from members of the public who would otherwise have distracted me had I been on my own.
