This time I set out to film a church with the graveyard and nearby river included. I also wanted to try and go higher than the church spire, past the weather vane and see if I could get some footage of the roof and architcture with a view to having a go at church roof inspections sometime in the future. The flying and filming went well by and large, with no problems or crashes, but the stock Gaui camera mount tends to come loose as it's only attached by two sticky pads - you can see the effect of this where the video footage wobbles - for once this was not caused by my quadcopter flying but the cheapo camera mount. I have superglued the camera mount to the sponge tabs so will see if that makes a difference for the next video, if not I will buy a better mount. I also have a new 3CCD video camera to try next. The camera in this video is a GoPro with Sunex lens. |
