Beverley Minster MK Hexa2 FPV

Beverley is a beautiful medieval town in East Yorkshire. Like my hometown of York it was once a walled city with gates called bars that closed at night.

One of Beverley's best features is the splendid Minster cathedral. I wanted to make an aerial video of Beverley Minster but wasn't sure of the feasbility of doing this in a busy town centre. Luckily, however, there is a nice green area across the street so I was able to fly most of the shoot with nothing beneath the drone but grass.

The Mikrokopter Hexa 2 is so stable and reliable I have no real worries about it failing me. The only real trouble when flying FPV (first person view) is that you can't see directly underneath you so it's far better when there aren't too many trees and bits of architecture etc to worry about.

When an area I want to film is too busy or cramped I use my smaller Gaui quadcopter instead, and/or fly line of sight instead of FPV.

Flying line of sight means I can't go as high. Beverley Minster is too high to fly to the top looking from the ground, so I was very pleased to find the green across the street where I could use my goggles and fly FPV to the top of the Minster.
